Intrepid
Melissa at 3-years-old was shown extensively in 1974 on
both the West Coast and the East Coast
where
she was never out of the ribbons either
In Hand
or Two- Year-Old Pleasure Driving. She was Junior
Champion and Grand Champion Mare
at the
1974 Golden West Regional Championship
Show as well as Junior Champion at the New
York
International in Syracuse. She was 2nd in
a two-year-old filly class of
35 in the New England
Morgan Regional Championship Show and
won a very large
2-Year-Old Pleasure Driving Class. At the Grand
National in Detroit she was
Reserve Champion 2-year-old mare, one of the  Top
8 Mares, and finished in the Top Ten in
2-year-old Pleasure
